
Sierra Nevada Conservancy Board approves grants totaling $12 million
March 13, 2008 BASS LAKE, CA -- Today the Sierra Nevada Conservancy Board of Directors authorized grants totaling $11,137,242 for projects throughout the Sierra Nevada. This includes a $1 million grant to The Sierra Fund, who is serving as fiscal sponsor for a collaborative effort to purchase land on the Yuba River for public recreation, water quality and watershed protection.
